Before I fell pregnant and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl.
Life Before...
First the 24 hour a day sickness kept me up until all hours.
Then there was the needing to pee 5 times a night.
Then I just plain couldn't sleep.
Did I mention the bladder the size of a chestnut?
Then I couldn't get comfortable.
Then the nesting kicked in (oh nesting, I was never tired when you were around! I wish I had even half of that enthusiasm for cleaning now!)
Then there was the newborn stage. Feeding every 3 hours day and night.
And then there's the now. My baby sleeps from 7pm to 7am! Yippiiee, lucky me, right?
Right. Because now I can regain some 'me time'. So I spend my nights catching up on the last 5 months of television shows I've been too busy to watch. I clear my inbox, resume reading other blogs, occasionally attempt a post on my own blog (yes, I know, my promised pharmacy products posts are weeks late, I'll get to them... soon...) and I'm currently
These days I get excited when Saturday morning rolls around and Mr Hat takes care of Missy Moo and lets me sleep in until, wait for it...7:45am!
My cherished 'me time' is probably why Missy Moo's unsettled teething/waking up screaming every 20-30 minutes got me in such a tizz this week. No more 'me time'. One tooth, two teeth, no sleep, exhausted! Add on top of that my more than doubled hours of paid employment and that gives you one tired mummy and a post that probably needs editing but will be published anyway.
Never mind. To make up for it I'm posting a picture of Missy Moo taken recently...
Do you set aside 'me time' each day/week?
What do you like to do in your 'me time'?
Do you sleep less after children?
